We try to make your overnight stay at McLaren-Greater Lansing as pleasant as possible. Before you arrive, please read about our meals and television and telephone policies.
Patient Meals
Proper nutrition is an important component of any course of treatment. At McLaren-Greater Lansing, registered dietitians assist in supporting patient menus and supervise food service. Selective menus are offered for both regular and special diet. You will be asked daily to check your food choices for the following day.
If your physician orders a special therapeutic diet for you, a dietitian will contact you to explain the diet and help you choose what you like from the allowed foods. Please caution your family and friends that they must check with the nurse on duty before bringing any food into your room.
Television
Every patient has access to a television in his or her room. Use of the television is free.
Telephones
Bedside telephones are provided free of charge to all patients and are available in all patient rooms except special care units. There is no charge for local calls. Long distance calls must be billed to a long distance credit card or collect.
